Sports Premium Action Plan and Impact 2017/2018

During this period the school received £18,130.

Having reviewed the impact of the previous year’s strategy, we have amended the focus of support for staff development from Games teaching to the teaching of Gymnastics and Dance. We have invested the funding in high quality coaching staff to work alongside our own staff and learners to ensure that the children are receiving the very best PE education whilst also up-skilling our staff in teaching PE across dance and gymnastics. Additionally, we have continued to provide a play leader for parts of the week to engage children in meaningful play at lunchtimes to add to their structured PE lessons. Finally, we have continued to invest in Cyber Coach as an added aerobic activity daily for children to do in their classrooms to stimulate their minds and to freshen their thinking ready for their afternoon learning. Both activities proved valuable and successful last academic year and therefore after extensive review we have retained these activities.
