Key Stage 1 – Great Fire of London Enrichment
Over a series of weeks, children in Key Stage 1 have been learning all about The Great Fire of London. Children learnt about what the Tudor houses were made of in 1666 and exactly why this contributed to London burning so quickly. Within their D&T lessons, children had the opportunity to create their own Tudor houses and then set them alight to watch how quickly the fire spread. This was a truly amazing experience and brought the lessons to a very exciting ending. Why not ask your child what interesting facts they have learnt!
