Moorgate Academy PTA (FOMS) are a group of parents, staff and LAC members who organize and run events to raise funds to enhance the educational experiences and opportunities available for our children. Our remit is:
“.. to be the driving force in fund raising for Moorgate Academy. To help our children ‘Achieve, challenge and enjoy’ – we will do our best to fund extra resources that might otherwise not be available to them. To involve parents, staff & children … and obviously, to have fun along the way!”

So far we have run events such as: Easter Bingo, Discos, Film Nights, Summer and Christmas Fayres, Quiz Nights, Ladies Nights and much more. We have now been running for 5+ years. In this time we have made a number of purchases to benefit the children and the school. We have purchased Kindles and Tag Readers to enhance reading materials. Reading books and furniture for the school library (see image below). Multi use tents which can be used for outdoor learning. Table tennis tables and much more. For the new school building we have purchased lunch box trolleys, storage benches, and the cool alien bins (see image below) that can be seen on the playground. Recently we subsidised the cost of tshirts for Young Voices and also paid for the coach (see image below).
