KS1 Trip to Tamworth Castle

17th May 2017

On Thursday 11th May, the children in KS1 visited Tamworth Castle and they had a wonderful time. They met the Lady of the Castle, her servant and the Castle Marshall. Each character told many enthralling stories about what their life was like for them, allowing the children to gain an insight into Castle life, the different household objects and the different features of the building. The medieval toilet proved very popular! The children helped the servant with their duties, dressed a knight in preparation for battle and even took part in a marching drill. The scariest parts of visiting the castle were visiting the dungeon and climbing the many steps to reach the top of the tower.
