Grand Opening of Hollins Wood Lodge

Last week, we had our official opening of our wonderful new Forest Schools lodge, Hollins Wood Lodge. The lodge has been added to our Forest Schools provision to extend the provision and allow the children more room (especially in the cold and rainy weather) to explore their learning. As well as visitors from our Trust, we had  Tracy Ward (former deputy CEO) come and officially open the lodge, aptly named in memory of Keith Hollins (former CEO) who sadly passed away due to Covid in September 2021. Keith was also Tracy’s husband. During the afternoon, Mrs. Shaw put on a wonderful Forest School’s session for the children to explore the lodge, cook and eat over an open camp fire and do all the wonderful things that we normally do for Forest sessions. The lodge will be used by all our children for many years to come!
